We all seem curious about the metaverse since Facebook decided to change its name to meta. So why is it called meta and what does it mean? We probably all have a pretty good idea of what it is by now. Despite the fact that Metaverse is transforming the social media space, we’re going to take a closer look today.
1. Social media posts come to life
Social media is all about pictures and videos right now, but that’s about to change very soon. Not a social media freak yet? Metaverse is sure to make you one. Have you ever wished that by watching travel videos you could jump right to the place and feel, smell and experience the place for a moment? Well, Metaverse will make that happen. You can teleport yourself to any place you see on your social media. There would be a convergence of experiences in the physical world and the digital experience. Pictures and videos come to life and make your social media experience great. Doesn’t that sound like something amazing?
2. Live videos will really be “live”
Imagine your best friend attending a live concert somewhere in the world. Wouldn’t it be great if you could join him / her? What if there is a party going on outside the train station and you could go there without traveling or spending any money? Metaverse will help you with that. You can connect with as many people around the world as you want. Metaverse on Social Media – I would say that “Metasocioverse” will add new layers to the world and also give us a richer experience of interacting with people online. In addition, Metaverse will offer unique and comprehensive opportunities to all creators and artists.
3. You will share a sense of space in video rooms
Think of Metaverse as the internet embodied – you can literally be in the same room with your friends around the world. You can make eye contact, feel the presence of your friends. That is, when someone is sitting on your right side and talking to you, you can clearly feel their presence on your right side. Just like what happens in a real world, but that would be a virtual world instead. In essence, I think the future of social media will be something of a mix of the social platforms we see today, but with an embodied environment.
4. Online groups direct you to a room full of people
Can you imagine a synchronous environment where we can all be together? Metaverse would have tools that we can use to place digital objects in the physical world. People can interact with them and instead of simple visual effects, Metaverse supports 3D objects that react and react realistically. Including a realistic sense of occlusion and depth. It feels like this is a distant future vision, even if some parts of it are now becoming visible. Overall, it strikes me as a very idealistic vision of the future of the web.
5. Digital shopping experience will create a butterfly effect
“A horizon marketplace,” as Mark Zuckerberg says. Once developers are in Horizon, they can sell and share their 3D digital products. This will enable significantly more trading and help expand the Metaverse economy. One of the big parts of the metaverse would be trading. In this virtual world, creators can sell both digital and physical items to their customers. The butterfly effect lets us zoom into an amazing world. Metaverse is a limitless possibility of our imagination. So I think that the future of the internet will be shaped by this area. It’s going to be a big focus, and I think it will be the next chapter after the mobile internet.
There are many other aspects of this area that we still know. There is a lot more to discover about Metaverse. But I think Metaverse is very sustainable and will change the way we interact with people, how we work and how we use our social media in general. Of course, every technological development in the world has both advantages and disadvantages, but we’ll keep that discussion for another day.
